Following up on his investigations and discoveries in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century scores and autographs, Claudio Osele founded the period instrument ensemble Le Musiche Nove in 2001 with the goal of making his research findings visible and alive on stage. The ensemble is made up of highly sought-after soloists and teachers from the early music scene.
To date, Le Musiche Nove have presented concerts in Europe and the United States, including the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, the Berlin Philharmonie, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, the Lucerne Festival, the Salzburg Festival and have regular guest appearances at the Bad Kissingen Summer Festival.
Claudio Osele’s innovative activity is also evident in his series of recordings with Cecilia Bartoli: Opera Proibita, The Salieri Album, and her Grammy® award-winning CDs of Gluck and Vivaldi, on which he acted as music consultant.
