On YouTube a new clip of Bononcini’s aria “Ombra mai fu” can be found. The aria was filmed during the recording sessions of Simone’s new album “Colori D’Amore”, scheduled for world wide release in fall 2010. For the editions of the arias and for the tracklisting has once again Claudio Osele been responsible. He also conducts his ensemble “Le Musiche Nove”. Bononcini’s “Ombra mai fu” has been the model for Handel’s famous version of the same libretto, composed in 1738.

Simone’s new album will be out in fall 2010. The programme of the Lava album as well as the programme of the new CD will be part of the big LAVA tour, scheduled for 2010/2011. Her the dates:

On August 2nd, 2009, Simone Kermes sang Leonora in Verdi’s opera “Il Trovatore” in the final night of the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele (concert performance). Michael Hofstetter conducts the orchestra of the Ludwigsburger Schlosspestspiele, playing on authentic instruments.

On February 18, 2010, Simone Kermes has been a guest in Swiss Television’s Late Night Show “Aeschbacher”. She started with singing Pergolesi’s aria “Tu me da me dividi” from “L’Olimpiade”. Piano: Alena Cherny.

On August 28, 2009, Simone Kermes and Le Musiche Nove did perform at the Villa Medici in Rome. The evening’s headline had been “Angels & Demons” and the musicians performed arias from the new LAVA CD plus arias and instrumental pieces by Haendel and other 18th century composers. The concert had been filmed by French classic channel MEZZO. Most of the arias and instrumenal pieces can now be seen on YouTube

On February 18, Simone will appear in Kurt Aeschbacher’s famous talk show “Aeschbacher” (Swiss Television, Channel 1). She will talk about art, career and private life. And she will also perform an aria from her latest CD “Lava”.
